Berrybridge Housing - About Us

Berrybridge Housing was established to manage homes on Liverpool’s Eastern Fringe. Berrybridge Housing has taken ownership of the properties after a large ‘yes’ vote by local tenants in March 2002. Tenants in the ballot voted yes - 87.8% of the valid vote - to transfer to Berrybridge Housing. The turnout was 65.6%.

Location

Located in the Dovecot and Deysbrook areas of Liverpool, Berrybridge Housing operates across a wide variety of communities. The area lies a few miles outside of Liverpool city centre.

Homes

Berrybridge Housing owns 3385 homes made up mainly of family homes built in the 1930’s. The homes were formerly part of Liverpool City Council’s stock and transferred to Berrybridge Housing in January 2003.

Initiatives

The main initiative for Berrybridge Housing over the next five years will be the major refurbishment of homes across the whole area. More than £47M will be spent on improving tenants’ homes including new windows and doors, central heating, kitchens and bathrooms.

- 5 year improvement programme – 1st Year budget of £5.2M
- New office accommodation – budget of £1.3M
- Major demolition/clearance programme
